February Update
It's been a while and you may have noticed things have been pretty quiet at Nazy's Survivors. I thought i'd make a post and summarize everything that's been happening. First up we are still very much alive aren't going anywhere haha, the A16 legacy server has been up this whole time as well as the A17.1 test server. The main server is down however. My server provider had some issues and we lost the main server which was ok since it wasn't up long enough to have anything on it that would be a loss to lose. I could have set up another but i decided to keep it on ice for the time being for the following reasons.
A17 had many things too be excited for unfortunately it also had many issues. The main 2 being players not being able to join 16k map servers with 8gb of ram and the poor state of RWG. The former has been resolved along with some other networking problems. RWG however is still being worked on and will require a full wipe so i don't want to start a server that will need to be wiped anyway when those changed roll out. So the main server is in a holding pattern until RNG is fixed.
Looking at the forms the dev's have said RWG is now receiving full attention and will either be a 17.x update or depending how long it takes could end up being in A18 which some of the team are now working on. They have said that most of the frameworks has been done and A18 is expected to launch mid 2019 so worst case scenario a wait of a few months. Which isn't encouraging but it's just the way it is unfortunately.
So hang tight survivors, we'll be back in the thick of things before you know it ;)
